Ardern justifies hate speech tyranny with fatuous lies about NZ Values
Ardern is an atrocious liar and the media seem too intimidated by her to pull her up on her lies. This morning at a press conference (see video) she was asked if the purpose of the hate speech law was to prevent another mosque attack.
Although both Ardern and Justice Minister Faafoi have used this as a prime reason in the past, she deflected from the question, and then went on to make the outrageous claim that the new laws will be in line with New Zealand values.
In fact the laws are an affront to NZ values of free speech, and especially the long held tradition to criticise religion. Ask any member of the Christian group, who have felt the brunt of this criticism constantly over the years.
Hate speech laws are alien to New Zealand culture and values, and it is time to explain this fact to cultures who do not understand it, rather than kneel in submission. We do not need to change our own important cultural values to appease promoters of diversity.
Ardern’s attempt to pass these laws off as attuned to NZ values is a slimy and dishonest deceit, and the media should call her out on it. What a disgrace they are to allow her to even attempt such an obvious distortion of truth.

Wow! It took over 100 years for the gummint to figure out what NZ values were? Then legislate accordingly. And it took a commie-clutch of pseudo socialists to do that! Amazing!

Exactly right. Her claim is exactly the opposite of the truth. What irks me is that the so called journalists don’t challenge her on such lies. They could easily say, “Hey wait on a minute, isn’t freedom of speech a core value to New Zealanders?”, but they do not. They just let her move on to the next question and a different subject.

All her blah blah about NZ values is possible because our youth have been deliberately ill informed about Western Values.
Familiarity with Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics, Plato’s Values, the Cardinal Virtues (only 4), the Seven Virtues (opposing the seven sins), the Moral Law would make a good starting discussion.
