Ardern’s split with Hosking signals that other media do not do their job

Most media addressing the issue of Jacinda Ardern’s decision to discontinue the traditional Monday morning interview on NewstalkZB say that host Mike Hosking’s “hard” questions put her off. In a Stuff column today, political commentator Bryce Edwards says
After all, it was a tough interview each week, from a broadcaster clearly keen to put her through a lot of difficult questions and paint her in a bad light.
This is just too easy for Jacinda fans and other media dross. In other words, utter BS. Hosking could have been and should have been a lot harder on Ardern if he was really going to hold her to account. However, he knows that Ardern’s personality traits make her uncomfortable with truth. If he had asked the real questions, she would have been gone three years ago, quitting just as her weaseling equivocating Treasurer Grant Robertson did on Magic radio.
The issue here is not that Hoskins asks hard questions, its that the rest of the so called media, really just fakes who are entirely invested in Jacinda’s socialism, never put her under any real pressure at all. Hosking is about the only interviewer who does half of his job. The rest are just crawling progressive/ left wing sycophants.
