TV One newsroom takes its viewers for fools

Should a govt owned television broadcaster be used as an agent of cultural change or should it just report objectively, truthfully and without censoring news that might embarrass the powerful?

TV One newsroom is notorious for its selective reporting, misleading by omission and thereby manipulating the surprisingly large number of New Zealanders who still watch it.

The most egregious example being their refusal to report on the farmers’ protests throughout Europe. If you get your news from more reputable and trustworthy sources than TV One, you will know just how big a deal these protests are.

Why will TV One not report? Best guess is that it confronts and exposes their endless climate change propaganda. Viewers might suddenly realise that TV One and their corporate/govt climate change lobby cronies have been lying and scare mongering for decades.

There is also the issue that many newsroom staff are ex CNN, one of the most untrusted/ liberal news agencies in the world. A surprising number are also LGBTQ+, including the chair Alastair Carruthers. Is the problem that in seeking DEI targets, TV One has made itself far too politically liberal?

If you’re concerned about TV One’s politically driven censoring of the news please contact the following managers (and board members) at the broadcaster and tell them to stop taking NZ citizens for fools. As politely as possible of course.

    The only way to overcome this gross abuse of privilege is for TVNZ and its sleeze to be sold as a going concern to the highest bidder. Taxpayers should not be funding this apology for a media outlet.

    Thanks for letting me know what’s not on TV1 Red, since i have not watched it for years now i have no idea but this is the very reason i don’t watch. They have nothing of interest to say, ZERO.

      Hi Johannes. Of course we should not patronise such a vile organisation as TVNZ/ TV One, but the problem is that on average, around half a million to one million voters get their news and therefore their political direction from TV One each day.

      The primary reason they exist is to exert political influence over the NZ public. The hand picked board and all of its employees are chosen especially to ensure that influence is “progressive” Or if you like post modernist Marxism. Or if you want to be really blunt, communist.

      One of the current board members even spent five weeks in Cuba studying. Probably how to distribute propaganda.

      They are the dire enemies of liberty and we need to know and publicise what they are doing.
