Charlatan Shaw should never be Climate Commissioner

With the corrupt legacy media going full tilt to smash the coalition govt, mostly with fake news and manufactured stories, its hard to criticise Luxon et al on real issues without feeling as if you’re helping the left. However, rank media bias should not immunise the govt from valid criticism

What are the issues that warrant valid criticism? It is apparent that of the coalition partners, most of the perceived wrong steps are being made by Mr Luxon and his National party. For some examples-

  • the re-financing of Jacinda Ardern’s notoriously anti-free speech “Christchurch Call”.
  • directing $50 million in funding to Maori health providers and
  • failing to fully back ACT’s important Treaty Principles Bill.

More notably, Mr Luxon’s recent announcement that the Treaty of Waitangi was a “partnership”. This is a direct lie, and it is shameful and utterly disappointing that the National’s leader should be promoting this fabrication of history. It is a weak and spineless concession that will cause massive harm to NZ’s social fabric down the track.

Then the undue reverence Mr Luxon has shown towards the Green Party leader Jimmy Shaw. In particular calling the Zero Carbon bill that Shaw pushed through the house something he should be “very very proud of”.
In fact the bill is a disaster for the country and if it is ever fully enacted, will bring unprecedented poverty and social destruction to NZ.

Then to cap this rank foolishness off, there is the incredible suggestion that Shaw, upon quitting the leadership of the hard Marxist Green Party, should be appointed to the role of Climate Commissioner, when it is renewed in the near future.

If Mr Luxon was looking after the NZ voters and not kissing the arse of corporate globalists he would be disestablishing the Climate Commission. It is the perfect candidate for his planned cost cutting program.

If he won’t do that, at the very least he should appoint as Commissioner someone more knowledgeable and more in touch with the people. Barry Brill or Bryan Leyland would be perfect for the role.

If Mr Luxon does indeed appoint the charlatan Jimmy Shaw as Climate Commissioner then whether the corrupt legacy media is unfairly criticising the PM or not, he deserves the utmost condemnation from center right voters.

He should look at what happened to Liz Truss, ousted in the shortest UK Prime Ministership ever. Of course it is different here with MMP, but if the coalition collapses because of Mr Luxon’s wrong headed decisions on issues like this, it will be a tragedy for this country, and one it will take generations to recover from.

    Well done.

Do send it to all National Party MPs  -and as many media as you can.

Not all of the latter are corrupt, and it’s good to shake the certainty
    of the others.

If it wasn’t for David SeeLess and Winston First, the lux flake would be – as always with the gNats, – labour-lite. This is the same twerp who can, can’t or maybe does recall what the WEF is.

The lux flake is a wimp. Yet another stool pigeon for Klaus and co.

As for the crock of crap ‘pseudo ‘ climate commissioner,’ it’s just another example of the revolving-door, ex-parliamentary jobs for the boys and girls, low-grade corruption that prevails in NZ politics.

Maybe someone else noticed, given that NZ has dropped in the results of the latest ‘least corrupt country’ survey.

Corruption in NZ has always been of the ‘soft’ variety. Assorted quango appointments providing a handy supplement to the pension, with travel and suchlike expenses added.

No back-handers – just the next best thing.

thanks for your insight – I am so incredibly disappointed and frustrated in Luxon’s stance on many issues – climate being just one of them- how do you motivate the man as he is not supporting his coalition partners. Cheers Dick

Yes its very dismaying where Luxon is taking New Zealand, the warnings were very clear, pre-election – he is not embracing MMP if he can avoid it and is pushing his own barrow of woke ideals in step with what all globalists do……ACT and NZF need to be vigilant….
